Santa Claus

This photographer in Spanish Fork was doing a special with Santa Claus. She would take your picture with Santa for only $3.00. I thought WOW what a steal. The mall wants way too much money to sit on Santa's lap. I knew Wes would be a little scared of Santa. He doesn't comprehend who Santa is or what Santa brings. Needless to say he was TERRIFIED of the big man. He would not sit on Santa's lap. So mom sat next to him and he would not look at santa or the photographer. As you can see in the picture below in order to get my $3.00 worth it had to be just Wes and Mom. Oh well maybe next year! Merry Christmas!

Birthday Part 1

Click here to view these pictures larger

I can't believe my little guy is 2! Wow time sure does fly. Wes was sick on his birthday. Poor guy so we moved his party to Sunday night with the Hickman family. He loved opening his presents and loved the Remote control fire truck. Wes had gotten very independent, and talks A LOT! He has to pick out his own pj's and clothes, put his shoes on by himself. He loves to watch movies, His new saying is "I need that". It cracks us up everytime he says it. We love you bud!

Lee Reunion

We had the chance to spend 4 awesome days at my grandparent's cabin in the Uintas. It was our annual Lee family reunion. And oh it was fun. We had a birthday party for Jaxson with fun games: fish pond, pinata, and swimming pool filled with treats. There was a horseshoe competition: Congrates to Cole & Eric. We made purses, flowers & magnets out of duct tape, watch bands for crafts. Went for 4 wheeler rides and just enjoyed being with our family....

George & Jean 1st Annual reunion

The Hickman family got together up Starvation in Spanish Fork Canyon and spent 3 days in the sun & dirt. We had a blast. It was so fun to get everyone together and just relax and visit. the kids enjoyed playing together and getting dirty. We had some awesome dutch oven food Thank you Joe and Jamie for cooking breakfast & dinner. We played in the water, the dirt, rode 4 wheelers (well some of us rode 4 wheelers while others rolled their 4 wheeler....)We had massages, played hand & foot and yahtzee with grandma Wendy, played horseshoes, bad mitton, football and ate some HUGE YUMMY Marshmallows, listened to trucker music and laughed as the brothers all sing along, hot 100 Deg temps and scared ourselfs with the creepy axe-murder-in the car camped next to us. All in all it was a great weekend. A special thanks to Jamie for her planning and stressing we had fun and it will be memories we will always be able to share.

This was Wes's favorite place to play. A soft pile of dirt. It entertained him for a while.

Yes Wes is driving the 4 wheeler. He was so excited!

Yup he loves GUNS! he is such a boy....(it was only a BB gun and the safety was on)

Siblings cooking us some yummy dutch oven Ribs!

Wes eating his HUGE marshmallow. They made the best Smores

His little battery powered 4 wheeler just didnt go fast enough :(

Here we are in the water. He loved to throw rocks. The water wasnt very warm and his teeth would chatter and he would shake but he STILL would not get out. Crazy kid

Lake Powell

We took a family trip to Lake Powell. It was a blast! We headed out saturday afternoon and stayed in a little tiny (and I mean TINY) town of Hanksville, UT. Sunday morning we got up early and headed to Bullfrog to pick up our house boat. We spent a couple days on the lake fishing, floating, playing in the sand and sliding down the slide on our house boat. oh yeah and of course we ate lots of food! But all in all it was a fun trip. One we would definetly do again next year......

This ia a picture of where we were beached....

18 months

18 Months
I can't believe Wes is already 18 months old. Time goes too fast. Here are a few things Wes is starting to do. He loves to talk on the phone. He calls just about anybody and just talks away. He knows what a the following animals say: Monkey, Cow, Cat, dog, and lion. He also know what the fire trucks say. Aunt Nikki has taught him how to play duck, duck, goose. Its pretty cute. He loves to watch movies like Alvin and the Chipmunks, Cars, and Kung Fu Panada or Ice Age. We have kind of started the potty training thing. He will attempt to pee, then he has to wipe and flush the toliet. He claps his hands and says YEAH when he is finished. He is also starting to become independent. (oh dear is all I can say) He will try to dress himself, he knows how to put his shoes and socks on. But bath time is always a fight, but he does LOVE to take a shower. He stands under the water and grins. Hey whatever works right? My favorite is to say "Wes show me your teeth" and he gives you the cheesest grin! There is a picture below of him doing just that. He is been such a blessing inour lives. He can turn any crappy day into the best day. Thanks Wes for always knowing how to brighten our days and for being such a good kid!!! We love you!

I had my friend Tiffany (photosbytiff.blogspot.com) these pictures of Wes. She did such a great job. they turned out so cute. I don't know how I am going to pick which ones I want to hang in frames. THANKS TIFF!!!

update & Mountains

Wow it has been forever since I blogged. I am a slacker. I guess we can call it life. It has been fun and busy and crazy all at the same time. Its hard to get on the computer at home because Wes thinks he needs to help out. And by the time he goes to bed I am ready for bed also. Well here is a little update. January flew by so quickly. There wasn't much that happened. Just the usual work and house work. Wes is getting bigger everyday and his personality is starting to show more & more. He is starting to talk. His new words are: THAT, Pizza, This, Hi DAD and think I caught Please the other day. He loves to wave at people and say HI! He is copying everything Joe & I do. He knows where his eyes, nose teeth, toes and belly are. He loves to lift your shirt and point to your belly button. When he does soemthing good or he helps me out claps his hands! He is such a joy in our lives!

This past weekend we were able to go up to the Uintas for the weekend. Here are a few pictures of our fun in the SNOW!

Love this picture. It was snowing, Wes is catching Snow flakes on his tongue. I am not really sure who taught him this but he rode around in the sled with his tongue sticking out the whole time.

Wes playing in the snow.

Wes and Grandpa riding the snow machine. He loved it.

Wes & victory riding in the sled. Notice the tongue sticking out. Victory hated to play in the snow, but she wouldn't get out of the sled. She would just sit there and not move with this grumpy look on her face the entire time.

Eating pizza outside (pizza is Wes is favorite food) he goes over to the stove points and says Pssssssssa

Grandma helping Wes get on his warm clothes.

And of course the boys sledding down the hill.

It was a great weekend to spend with the family. Well that's about it for now. Hopefully it won't be too long before I blog again! (sorry my pictures are so small. I thinks its because i stole them from Nikki & Jessie Facebook).
