1st Birthday

Wes turned 1 on Nov 3. I can't believe that a year has gone by already. It seems just like yesterday that we brought him home from the hospital. Since we have family in both Spanish Fork and Evanston we decided to have 2 birthday parties. On Sunday we celebrated Wes birthday with Joe's family. It was a fun day. We were able to see family we haven't seen since June. Joe made my dad's famous green chili and it was delicious. He will definetly have to make that again. Here are a few pictures of our Hickman party! (in no particular order)

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween! It was Wes's first Halloween. He dressed up as a skunk. He was the cutest skunk! We didn't really go trick or treating this year. Wes is still a little young. Nikki and I took the babies to her ward's trunk or treat this year and we called it good. Here are a few pictures for you to enjoy!

Wes sad face. He wasn't sure if he liked his costume.

Nikki, Jessie & I dressed up as the Sanderson Sisters.

And Joe was a Mexican!

Mommy's Little Helper

Wes Loves to help with the dishes. Or what he thinks is helping, mom thinks he is just making a bigger mess and in the way. No matter what, we still love this little guy. He is quit the handful and makes us laugh everyday. I've learned that the mess can always be cleaned up later. Later when the little monster has gone to bed!

He may be a busy little boy but we still love to watch him learn, and grow. I do belive he is going to keep us on our toes!

This past weekend we had a family reunion at my Grandparents cabin in the Uintas. The theme was Christmas in July. We drew names as families and enjoyed every minute we spent together as a family.

We went for 4 wheeler rides

Jessie & Justin rode their dirt bikes.

The guys played a game of horseshoes!

We all took a minute to write letters to our favorite missionary BEN! We miss you!

Update on our Family

Hi eveiryone. Sorry it has been so long. We have been very busy. So here is a quick run down of somethings that we have been up to. Last Wednesday we woke up to a flooded basement. What a mess!!!! We finally have it dried out, the carpet in the bedroom has been relayed. Now we need to find a minute to tear apart the walls and start over.

For Father's Day we spent the weekend in Vegas. We didn't really do a whole but it sure was nice to get away from the choas and reality for a few days.

This is a view of the pool at our hotel. Kinda small....

Wes and Joe swimming. Wes loved the pool!

We spent a weekend at my Grandparents cabin. It was a little cold and rainy, but we still had fun. I don't know how much fun the guys had. they were busy pulling sagebrush, cutting down trees, and moving big rocks. But we enjoyed the time away.
Wes sitting by the fire.

our happy family.

My cousin Austin graduated this year. YEAH Austin congratulations. We had a BBQ for him, but it didn't last long. good ole weather in Wyoming, the wind blew and out came the rain. boy was it cold.

Wes and I in the swings

Wow I can't believe that Wes is 7 months old. It has gone way to fast. He would rather eat what Joe and I are eating vs. baby food. He has mastered the Army Crawl. He gets up on his knees and he tries to crawl, but then he gets on his belly and is gone. He can go from laying down to sitting up. And he learning very quickly the meaning of NO!
He loves Ice cream, but mom hates it cause then he is up all night!

wes crawled his way over to the blinds. This is a daily ritual. Of course we have to go over and pick him up and tell him no. He still makes his way over there. A big grin and laugh the whole time.

Just tonight I caught him playing in the dog bowl... Yuck....
He is very busy, but we still love him to death. His personality is getting cuter and cuter. Well that's what we have been up. Thanks for checking in and hopefully I will do better next time!
